Xingyu Mark Zhang is an Associate Professor specializing in Biostatistics and Epidemiology and the Director of the Integrated Biostatistics and Outcomes Research (IBOR) Lab at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS). He is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA). Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, he served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan and gained valuable experience as a postdoctoral research fellow in biostatistics at Emory University. His extensive research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including (1) clinical research with a focus on study design and statistical analysis, particularly in clinical trials; (2) the exploration of medical imaging biomarkers; (3) the utilization of electronic health record data for research; (4) the application of predictive and machine learning techniques in healthcare; and (5) investigations into health outcomes and healthcare services, with a particular emphasis on transplantation and emergency medicine. His work has led to over 80 coauthored peer-reviewed journal articles, spanning biostatistical methods and clinical research publications.
