Debra Utterback provides administrative support to faculty and staff in the Doctor of Chiropractic program and is assisting the inaugural group of students. She comes to the program from the Pre-Health Resource Center at Pitt, where she served as the department administrator for the past two and a half years. She previously was an administrator for compliance, continuing education and professional development for more than seven years at the Department of Physical Therapy. She brings additional knowledge from working as a program coordinator at the University of New Mexico's Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), where she assisted in using video conferencing to help physicians share knowledge with others in rural and underserved communities. Prior to working at Pitt, Utterback worked as a newspaper reporter/editor and in marketing.
