Dan Rusnak has been a research coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh since 2003. He received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and a Master of Science in rehabilitation technology from Pitt in 2023. He began his career at Pitt working for the Center for Education and Drug Abuse Research where he worked for 12 years in biological and behavioral research. Following the closing of that study, Rusnak began work in biomedical and genetics research for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Pitt until 2023, when he joined the SHRS team. He will help to support departmental research coordination with IRB protocol preparation, human subject recruitment, subject registry building and will be involved in research activities at VA Pittsburgh. Rusnak is a native Pittsburgher, a lifelong resident of the Steel Valley, avid Pittsburgh sports fan and a musician who has been a part of the local music scene for nearly 30 years.
