Chris Kargl is a postdoctoral associate working in the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory in the Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in exercise physiology and gerontology from Purdue University. His doctoral research centered on extracellular communication between skeletal muscle and capillary endothelial cells in health and in aging. Under the mentorship of Professor Brad Nindl, Kargl’s postdoctoral research focuses on bone-muscle crosstalk, circulating extracellular vesicles, and general biomarkers of stress, resilience and exercise adaptations.
