Brian Bonnar joined the University of Pittsburgh's Athletics Department in July of 2003. Bonnar is the head athletic trainer for the Panthers’ wrestling team and oversees the athletic training staff at Fitzgerald Field House. He has also worked with the Pitt volleyball and tennis teams during his tenure. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. Bonnar went on to receive his master’s degree in athletic training in 2002 from Ohio University (OU). While at OU, Bonnar served as the head athletic trainer at Federal Hocking High School in Stewart, Ohio. Prior to joining the Panthers’ staff, Bonnar served as the head athletic trainer at nearby Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, PA, where he worked with all varsity sports. A Pittsburgh native, Bonnar and his wife Heather have a son, Jacob and a daughter, Karina.
