Amy Morgan is executive administrator for Dean Anthony Delitto and Vice Dean David Beck. In this role, Morgan serves as key advisor to the dean and vice dean in the day-to-day and strategic operations of the school, and communicates on behalf of the dean with internal and external constituents. She prepares the dean for executive meetings, tracks and manages projects and schedules, and coordinates and plans meetings and events such as Board of Visitors and State of the School. Morgan organizes leadership team meetings (monthly and annual full-day retreat), sets agendas, writes meeting summaries, identifies action items, and follows up on execution. She also compiles extensive summary data for the annual review of department chairs, associate deans and directors; drafts annual review letters; and gathers data from multiple sources to coordinate, draft, and submit school-wide reports.
Morgan joined Pitt in early 2020 as the executive assistant to Dr. Kathy Humphrey, senior vice chancellor for Engagement. However, Morgan was no stranger to the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a speech-language pathologist who earned her Bachelor of Science in communication science from Pitt and her Master of Science in speech-language pathology from Duquesne University. Morgan owned and operated her own therapy clinic for ten years and brings with her extensive management, communications and project leadership experience to her position.
