Dr. Margo B. Holm is professor emerita of Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the recipient of the Eleanor Clarke Slagle Lectureship and the Award of Merit. Holm is also a member of the AOTF Academy of Research. In the early 2000s, she was the field supervisor for the US Congressionally-mandated study to determine the current medical rehabilitation reimbursement schedule. Holm has received grant funding from NIDRR, NIMH, NIA, NINR, NHLBI, AHRQ and several foundations, including AOTF, and has 228 publications.
Holm was a Fulbright Scholar to the University of Jordan, in Amman, Jordan and a Fulbright Specialist to Soonchunhyang University and Yonsei University in South Korea. Her research agenda has focused on assessing the functional status and outcomes of clients receiving medical, surgical, psychiatric and rehabilitation interventions. With Drs. Joan Rogers and Denise Chisholm, Holm is co-author of the Performance Assessment of Self-Care Skills (PASS), which has been translated into 11 languages and adapted for cultural relevance.
