Alex Fails is a research assistant working with data collection and management on the OASIS, POETT and Stability-2 studies and a PhD student in the Rehabilitation Science PhD program in the Department of Physical Therapy. He joined in August of 2022 and is interested in improving clinical return-to-sport decision-making tools to boost outcomes for competitive athletes returning from shoulder stabilization procedures. He made the decision to come back to Pitt after working full-time clinically because he knew the people, environment and world-class education opportunities would help him achieve his research career goals.
