Teresa Yoder is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in the state of Pennsylvania. She is dedicated to advancing community health through nutrition education and fostering equitable food systems. As an adjunct community instructor, Teresa supports students completing the Community and Public Health Nutrition Rotation (CPHN).
Teresa grew up on an egg farm in central Pennsylvania but always craved the rich diversity and energy of city life. She and her husband moved to Pittsburgh in 2010 where she became part of Chatham’s inaugural food studies cohort. During her time at Chatham, Teresa served as a graduate assistant for events and programming and worked as a summer intern at Garfield Community Farm.
In her current role as Nutrition & Education Programs Supervisor with Adagio Health, Teresa oversees a team of health educators who implement community nutrition and teen outreach programs in and around Pittsburgh. Teresa holds a Master of Arts in Food Studies from Chatham University and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from La Salle University, where she completed a coordinated dietetic internship. Teresa earned her certification as an Intuitive Eating counselor in December of 2023. This certification will allow her to support individuals seeking to build positive relationships with food and their bodies. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, riding bikes, and exploring new places with her family.
