Amy Tiernan is an instructional designer within the Office of Online Learning. She partners with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) staff and faculty to develop high-quality, engaging and interactive online and hybrid courses. Previously, she was an online instructional designer for Syracuse University, developing online courses for undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs.
Tiernan has a Master of Science in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation, and a Certificate of Advance Study (CAS) for designing online instruction from Syracuse University. She also holds certificates as an Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Course Quality Review (OSCQR) Trainer and in applying the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric to online courses. Tiernan is committed to contributing to SHRS’ vision, mission and values by using instructional design principles, multimedia technology and a learner-focused mindset to provide an unparalleled environment for education and training.
