The Department hosted the Pitt OT Spring Colloquium on April 25, where over 360 participants attended virtually. The Spring Colloquium is now in its sixth year, with the first event held in 2018.
Victoria Garcia Wilburn, DHSc, OTR, FAOTA, assistant professor of occupational therapy at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)and house representative for the state of Indiana, delivered the Joan C. Rogers Distinguished Lecture, “From Clinic to Congress: Applying the Practice of Occupational Therapy in the Political Arena.” The distinguished lecture at the Spring Colloquium honors Rogers who was the department’s second chair.
The event provided an opportunity for our soon-to-be graduates in the CScD and OTD programs to present the outcomes of their capstone projects through presentations and posters. It was a great way to share their hard work and lessons learned with the greater OT community.
