This semester the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) Pitt chapter is excited to continue our efforts on expanding justice, equity, diversity and inclusion efforts within the department and greater Pittsburgh area. The group plans to partner with the recently established SHRS Affinity Groups to help promote a welcoming environment for students and staff to share information and learn more about these newly formed student-run community support systems. Additional opportunities being held this semester include a gender affirming care evening event, student organized lunch and learns and a potluck to welcome our new MS students to the Pitt Occupational Therapy Department.
