Robin Leaf is the director of academic and department operations for the Department of Occupational Therapy. Prior to joining the department in 2021, she worked within varying academic roles, specializing in accreditation, data systems, experiential learning and pedagogy within the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health and two other University units since 2002. Leaf holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Seton Hill University and a master of education, with a higher education management specialization, from the University of Pittsburgh. From 2017-2021, she presented at over 15 national and local conferences on experiential learning, assessment and pedagogical best practices. Leaf is a member of the Association for Institutional Research and Pittsburgh Region’s Tableau User Group. She also participates as a Canvas administrator and a teaching partner with Pitt’s University Center for Teaching and Learning, as well as within the Business Intelligence group, including the Tableau Practice Group, with Pitt IT. Her professional interest is in developing processes to support continuous improvement and innovation through the usage of data analytics and institutional effectiveness processes and best practices.
