Aileen understands that patient care delivery is variable and influenced by payment models, which value efficiency and productivity. When faced with this demand, limited resources and practice that is not guided by evidence, patient outcomes may be jeopardized. The emphasis should be placed on evaluating interventions that are valuable to the patient and ensuring clinicians are given the opportunity to carry out high-quality patient-centered care with adequate frequency and dosage. A PhD from Pitt SHRS offers her the opportunities to develop working relationships with students and faculty from different professional backgrounds and the training to provide data-driven answers to improve rehabilitation transitions in care.
