The University of Pittsburgh Primary Spine Practitioner Certification Program
The PSP Program is a rigorous and competitive post-professional program designed to train and certify physical therapists and chiropractors to be responsible for the front line diagnosis, management and care coordination of patients with spine-related disorders. The program consists of more than 120 hours of instruction delivered in a blended format with approximately 60 hours of online content and four weekend skill-building workshops that will be offered virtually in a synchronous format.

Cohort Dates
Each workshop will be three days in length with the following schedule:
Friday: 5:00pm - 9:00pm EST
Saturday: 8:00am - 5:30pm EST
Sunday: 8:00am - 12:00pm EST
Unit One: Fundamentals of Primary Spine Care
- April 12-14, 2024
- Format: Virtual/Online
Unit Two: Applied PSP Management Principles: The Lumbar Spine
- June 28-30, 2024
- Format: Virtual/Online
Unit Three: Applied PSP Management Principles: The Cervical Spine
- September 20-22, 2024
- Format: Virtual/Online
Unit Four: PSP Clinical Management Principles: Case Analysis, Review, and Certification
- November 15-17, 2024
- Format: Live/In-Person
Program Cost
Tuition: $3,800
Participants have the option to pay $950 at the start of each unit in lieu of paying the entire $3,800 upfront.
