Rehabilitation Science Student Association (RSSA)
What is RSSA?
The Rehabilitation Science Student Association (RSSA) is an undergraduate student organization that's open to all students at the University of Pittsburgh interested in the rehabilitation science professions and/or the undergraduate program in Rehabilitation Science (BSRS). As a member of RSSA you will have the opportunity to participate in creative and meaningful community service activities, attend lectures given by graduate students and health professionals, and be mentored by current BSRS students.
What is our mission?
RSSA aims to expose students to various health and rehabilitation professions through its connections with clinicians, faculty members, graduate students, fellow undergraduates and the Pittsburgh community. RSSA invites guest speakers representing different rehabilitation professions and programs, coordinates undergraduate mentorship activities with junior and senior BSRS students, and organizes volunteer opportunities.
Who can join?
All University of Pittsburgh undergraduate student interested in any health professions such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation technology, medicine, prosthetics and orthotics, and physician assistant studies. This includes students from all grades—first-years, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
