Biography

Trisha Cousins is a registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience specializing in medical nutrition therapy, maternal and pediatric nutrition, lactation and working with individuals with disabilities. She has been a part of the University for over 10 years, serving in various capacities before becoming the program director in 2023.

Cousins practices a servant leadership style, focusing on elevating and developing the faculty and students she mentors. Her passion for working with individuals with disabilities is evident in her role as the nutrition faculty member for the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) and Related Disorders program.

As a leader in SHRS initiatives, Cousins is instrumental in expanding interprofessional studies and serves as an advisor for the SHRS Interprofessional Studies Student Group. .
