Prathiba Maurya-Singh is committed to advancing knowledge in sports orthopedic rehabilitation through innovative research in Assistant Professor Andrew Sprague’s lab. Her work focuses on using ultrasound imaging and advanced statistical tools to explore musculoskeletal health and recovery, particularly after ACL injuries. By analyzing muscle and tendon structure, she aims to enhance rehabilitation strategies and develop evidence-based interventions for conditions like patellar tendinopathy, with a focus on improving outcomes for athletes and active individuals.
As a Graduate Student Researcher, she contributes to current study in lab, data processing, data analysis and the dissemination of findings. Her long-term goal is to become a professor in academia, continuing her research in orthopedic rehabilitation while mentoring students and advancing the physical therapy profession. She is passionate about combining research and clinical expertise to make meaningful contributions to the field.
