Nicole Cecchini became interested in Emergency Medical Services after taking the EMT class at the University of Pittsburgh during her undergraduate in 2005. It was during her senior year in the Emergency Medicine (EM) program that she began to tutor the paramedic students and became interested in education. She began her career at the university as the Clinical Coordinator for Emergency Medicine, before being appointed the Paramedic Education Program Director in 2019. In 2022, she was appointed as the EM program director. She continued to tutor paramedic students for the next two years. Throughout her career she has worked for local ambulance services, and she is also a state evaluator and a site visitor for paramedic accreditation programs.
