Biography
Michael McCue is the founder and former director of the Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program. He practices as a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Rehabilitation Psychologist and has been providing assessment and neuropsychological rehabilitation services to individuals with significant disabilities since 1981. He served as co-director of the University of Pittsburgh’s Rehabilitation Engineering Center on Telerehabilitation from 2004 -2014 (NIDRR).
McCue has a demonstrated record of successful and productive research and training projects in rehabilitation and neuropsychology including serving as principal investigator/project director, or co-investigator on over 37 national research, demonstration and training programs in telerehabilitation, rehabilitation assessment and intervention. He has published over 90 peer reviewed journal articles, chapters and abstracts related to telerehabilitation, neuropsychology and rehabilitation of cognitive disability.
Research Interests
- The development and application of ecological momentary assessment in rehabilitation to assess constructs including behavioral dysregulation, community participation, satisfaction, physiological states and environmental factors
- Studies of remote and community-based (in vivo) rehabilitation intervention
