Biography

Mara Goodman joined Pitt as a PhD student in 2023 to work with Assistant Professor William Evans and the Language Rehab and Cognition Lab. Her goal as a researcher is to improve the lives of people living with aphasia and other neurological conditions by addressing the many challenges faced in recovery including psychosocial wellbeing, health care access and health equity and inequality. She is especially interested in translational and interdisciplinary science, and she is excited to be part of a program with great opportunities for training in these areas.
