Biography

Lori Cherok is passionate about improving the health and quality of life of others through evidenced-based medical nutrition therapy. Her particular areas of interest are nutrition therapy for individuals with gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, head and neck cancer, nutrition support and critical illness. Cherok strives to increase the nutrition knowledge of health care providers through her teaching and guest lectures.

Prior to her career in teaching, she worked at UPMC Presbyterian and the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Health Care System helping patients as a clinical dietitian. Cherok loves talking with students and sharing stories from her days working in hospitals.
