Biography

Erin Lucatorto is a speech-language pathologist. After she earned master’s at Pitt in 2015, she went on to complete her fellowship at VA Pittsburgh. She spent several years practicing as a clinical SLP at UPMC Presbyterian and Montefiore, where she worked with a number of high-acuity patient populations. She returned to Pitt for her doctoral studies to start trying to find answers for some of the research questions that started collecting in clinical practice. She is a member of the Computational Deglutition Lab under the mentorship of Professor Jim Coyle. She hopes to continue the lines of research she has initiated during her time at Pitt to help improve clinical practice guidelines and streamline care for the populations she is most passionate.
