With over 14 years of experience in administration, Desiree Harrison contributes through collaboration, inclusivity and strategic communications. She supports the school’s online initiatives by assisting with onboarding, calendar management and project management for the department and its staff. Harrison came from the School of Dental Medicine where she worked at the start of her Pitt career before migrating to SHRS. She is a co-facilitator for the Racial Equity Consciousness Institute at the Center on Race and Social Problems, an extension of the School of Social Work. Her work involves teaching and promoting inclusive, diverse, and community engaged environments and lifestyles to combat systemic racism. She is a student mentor for the Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E and Pitt Mentorship Programs.
