Biography

Alongside his colleagues, David Brienza has conducted influential research on the effectiveness of seat cushions and mattresses in preventing pressure injuries. Additionally, he works on developing and evaluating assistive technology for mobility and aging in place. He teaches courses on product design, healthcare ethics, and pressure injury science and is actively involved in legal matters related to intellectual property and personal injury concerning wheelchairs and pressure injuries.
