Amy Evans works primarily with students in the Undergraduate Program in Rehabilitation Science, as she has since 2002. Evans has held various titles and duties within the Rehabilitation Science program, including special projects coordinator, program associate and assistant director in addition to her advising role. Evans enjoys working with students and seeing them grow and become the successful adults they want to be.
Prior to Pitt, Evans has worked as support staff, clinical coordinator and educator in women’s health; an HIV test counselor and educator; and has created educational materials and programming for lay home health visitors in middle Tennessee, Appalachia and the Mississippi Delta.
In her advising, Evans hopes to create an environment where all students feel valued and thrive, pushing themselves to grow not only academically and professionally but personally. She has a particular interest in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, global awareness and creative exploration.
