Abrar Alamri is working under the mentorship of Assistant Professor Clive D’Souza. She chose to pursue her PhD at Pitt because of its strong reputation in rehabilitation science and the opportunity to work in a research environment emphasizing evidence-based practices. Her research focuses on lower limb prosthetics and their impact on human performance. This field excites her because of its potential to significantly improve the quality of life for individuals who rely on prosthetics. Her goal is to address the challenges faced by individuals using lower limb prosthetics, ultimately leading to safer and more effective solutions. After completing her PhD, Alamri aspires to continue exploring prosthetic technology and improving patient care while contributing to education in the field, bridging the gap between research and clinical practice.
