Nikolas Summa's career in the mental health field in Western Pennsylvania has spanned over a decade. His experience ranges across diverse settings, from family-based services to outpatient mental health. He holds dual licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and is also an American Association Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervisor. Much of his professional focus has been dedicated to working with the LGBTQ+ community in Pittsburgh, advocating for and supporting this marginalized group. Creating awareness around the unique mental health needs of LGBTQ+ individuals, couples and families has been a driving force in my work. Currently, Summa is in the process of pursuing certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), further deepening his commitment to providing effective, empathic therapeutic care. He is excited to bring his passion for counseling, teaching and supervision into this next chapter.
