Hayden Mulligan is an assistant professor and clinical faculty member in the PA Studies Hybrid Program. She is also serving as adjunct faculty for the PT program. Mulligan is originally from NH. She rowed D1 at Yale where she earned her BA in history of science, history of medicine. Following graduation she worked as a health promotion volunteer for the Peace Corps in Peru for two years. She earned her Master in PA Studies from East Carolina University, where she realized that PA education was ultimately what she wanted to do. It marries her longtime love for teaching and her passion for human physiology and clinical medicine. Since becoming a PA, she has worked in primary care with underserved populations in rural NC and precepted ECU and Duke students. She currently works remotely from her home in NC and continues a day a week in clinic with Duke Primary Care.
