Academic Outreach and Advising within the Dean’s Office is focused on building strategic partnerships across the University to enhance the visibility of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) as an academic destination for undergraduate students at Pitt. This area is also dedicated to enriching the student experience at SHRS by optimizing academic advising and supporting student success by offering a range of resources designed to elevate the academic experience for all learners.
The Admissions team within the Office of Student Affairs is instrumental in coordinating the admissions process for undergraduate and graduate programs within SHRS. The team helps with application data and administration, admissions provisions, international admissions, pre-requisite evaluations, evaluation of transfer course credits and sending decision letters.

The Clinical Partnerships team connects adjunct faculty members to provide clinical education experiences and assist in didactic education for SHRS students.
This office focuses on increasing and reinforcing our school’s already high level of commercial translation by working closely with investigators and external partners to support licensing and funding opportunities to complement our efforts in research and innovation.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement (OEDICE) aims to increase health equity across all aspects of our SHRS programs to impactfully reduce health disparities in clinical learning and practice while simultaneously improving community engagement efforts that benefit our community and the institution.
Faculty Affairs and Development supports the growth and professional development of faculty throughout their career by providing oversight for mentoring, career development, faculty appointments, promotion and tenure.

The Office of Online Learning (OOL) supports SHRS departments in the development of fully online or hybrid programs or certificates. Our online education professionals provide consultation throughout the design process from proposal to launch, applying best practices for online learning. OOL also facilitates SHRS’ Continuing Education initiatives.

The SHRS Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) team cultivates relationships with contributors, alumni and other constituents on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, generating support for teaching, research and care.
The Registrar team within the Office of Student Affairs is responsible for providing letters of verification of enrollment, graduation, good standing, etc. They also manage the graduation of students and coordinate SHRS Recognition Day ceremonies.
