Curriculum

Coursework for the program is divided into two phases:

  1. Pre-Professional Phase
  2. Professional Phase

Applicants applying for the Accelerated MS entry point will complete prerequisite coursework during the first two years of their undergraduate degree as a first-year and sophomore student. At the conclusion of their sophomore year, students will apply to the Accelerated MS in Athletic Training program. Upon acceptance into the program, accelerated students will start the program in August and complete one year (two terms) of the pre-professional curriculum. During their last two years, Accelerated MS students will complete the professional curriculum.

Applicants applying to the MS in Athletic Training entry point will have already earned a bachelor’s degree and must meet the prerequisite requirements. Upon acceptance, MS students start the program in May and complete one summer term of the pre-professional phase of the curriculum and then enter the professional curriculum as a continuation of their first year of the program.
