Thanks to the internship students participate in during their senior year, our students have incredible success finding employment. This past year, over 70% of the senior class had job offers lined up before graduating in the spring. Graduates of the undergraduate Health Informatics program are competitive applicants and learn both soft and technical skills needed to thrive in their future careers.

Yes, every student in the program will participate in an internship during their senior year. Students will work with the department’s clinical education coordinator to find internships that best suit their interests and career goals.
Yes, our Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics program was designed with students like you in mind. Only one computer programming course is required before enrolling. For a full list of prerequisite requirements, visit our Admissions page.
Students interested in completing a second major, or dual degree, are required to complete 150 credits to graduate. If students are interested in completing a dual degree, they will need to complete the bulk of their major requirements before or after completing the Health Informatics degree due to the schedule and workload of the program.
Student athletes may receive accommodations when they need to participate in events that conflict with the program’s schedule. Students will need to work with faculty members ahead of time to coordinate any missed classes, coursework, etc.
