Pitt’s Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science is a great foundational program for students seeking to earn a graduate degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology or many other graduate health care programs. Or graduates can pursue a variety of health care related roles.

Communication Science graduates are positioned to pursue a wide range of jobs and careers including:

Audiology Assistants and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants

There are certification programs through ASHA for graduates of this program who do not wish to pursue graduate school after they graduate but want to work closely and get hands-on experiences with speech-language pathologists or audiologists.

Students with their communication science degree are uniquely positioned to utilize their knowledge and skills in the communication science and disorders field as assistants by working with SLPs/AuDs in treatment implementation, patient education and management of data to assess progress.
