Curriculum

With an emphasis on best practices and applying research, the integration of classroom and clinical education in Pitt’s Doctor of Audiology program is like no other.

Students participate in research projects mentored by expert faculty and benefit from a coordinator to guide your externship search. The curriculum at Pitt offers students extensive hands-on experiences with a focus on:

  • Prevention, diagnosis and treatment in hearing and balance across the lifespan
  • Interdisciplinary assessment and practice
  • Rehabilitation/management of hearing and balance disorders
  • Critical consumption of research
