Biography

Maggie Zink joined the University of Pittsburgh in 2021, working with Assistant Professor Aravind Parthasarathy and Professor Bharath Chandrasekaran. She is happy to find her home in a translationally minded department in which every researcher, from bench to clinic, has the same collective goal: to help people. Through her research, Zink hopes to do her part in alleviating effortful communication. She intends to pursue a career in academia as a professor at a research-intensive university.

Research Interests
  • The intersection of cognitive and perceptual ability; specifically, the interaction between aging, hearing loss, cochlear neuropathy, psychosocial and developmental disorders and speech perception in adverse listening conditions.
