Dr. Martin Johns has served as the Medical Director for the PA program since 2012. He is passionate about training students and residents in broad-spectrum family medicine with a focus on rural health. Since 2017, Dr. Johns has practiced in a small community in Mercer County, PA where he is the Program Director of the UPMC Horizon Family Medicine Residency as well as the Chair of Medicine for UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson hospitals. He provides lectures in multiple domains for the clinical medicine course as well as hosting students on their family medicine rotation in the clinical year. He also serves his community through the Joshua’s Haven Free Clinic in Sharon, PA.
